The InStill Life project is an educational pilot program that champions sustainability and global citizenship by enabling students to fund micro loans to food producers in developing countries.

A presentation called Mattering, at TEDx Okanagan College which was held in Penticton, B.C. in 2011.

By demonstrating to students the connection between subject areas such as art, history, technology, geography, literature, mathematics, science and economics and how they affect and enhance their micro lending project, students discover their own connection of how they can affect and enhance their world.

Theo’s Greek Restaurant in Penticton, British Columbia opened in 1976, and for over thirty years, we have had the pleasure to support and lead cultural and education initiatives in our community and beyond.

In 1998 we were honoured to receive the prestigious National Post award for “exemplifying the best in business and arts partnerships in all of Canada.” Theo’s OliveUs Education Initiative was founded in 2009 with the goal to expand our commitment to education both locally and internationally by creating programs that promote engaged, meaningful learning that enable learners of all ages to connect with the world they live in.

Visit our projects and if you too would like to lend a hand, that would be great for all of us.
